The school building has 12 classrooms and a capacity for 300-350 students. The building is currently under construction to add a third floor to the school which will increase our classrooms space from 12 classrooms to 18 classrooms. The water well is still working effectively. It comes complete with a commercial reverse osmosis filtration system providing clean water for the school and the surrounding village. The well was completed in June 2018 marking the first time this village has had clean drinking water available in its 450 year history. This water is made available to anyone in the village regardless if they have an affiliation with the school or not. In 2021, India experienced the worst of the Covid pandemic through the Delta variant. At its height, the virus was killing thousands by the day. The Indian government instituted a lockdown similar to the one it employed in 2020. Once again, the poor and impoverished began to starve as a result of the lockdown. The poor and impoverished are day wage laborers and because of lockdown they were not able to work and therefore not able to purchase food. AIM4India once again provided rice to approximately 5,000 people over the course of three months (April early July 2021). This effort kept them from starving and allowed them to survive the pandemic. During 2021, AIM4India raised and purchased over $72,000 in rice alone. We receive receipts for the use of money on most things. Receipts seem to be a foreign concept in India, so they are hard to attain. Over the course of the last year we have demanded that the distributors and suppliers of material for the school provide us with a receipt. Godwin's monthly expenses are documented with receipts that he scans and sends to AIM4India.2. We receive pictures of the materials/needs in which we have sent money to India. For example, most of these pictures were of the progress being made on the construction of the school.3. AIM4India's Executive Director (John Hall) and various directors travel to India several times a year. On these trips, the directors visually confirm that the things purchased with the grant making/money sent to India is actually used on the things that AIM4India claims they are purchasing in India. Although, John Hall was unable to travel to India in 2021.
