Upon completion of the reviews, they contact the VP/Treasurer for confirmation of their review. At the following board meeting confirmation of their review and approval and is included in the board minutes Subsequent confirmation was given to the preparer to finalize the 990 and mail to IRS. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12c Each potential board member is vetted to determine if he/she has any conflicts of interested before being approved to serve on the board. They are required to notify of any changes in their status where a a conflict of interest is determined. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15 Board members and officers do not receive any compensation. The executive director and other employee salaries are determined and approved bye the board members and are reviewed annually. Form 990, Part VI, Section C, Line 19 The 990 us available for public inspection upon request. Other documents such as conflict of interest policy, financial, and other governing documents are also available for review upon request. Form 990, Part IX, Line 11a Interviews and On Call are paid as non employees, but separately reported on line 24a & d instead of 11a We filed our 990 for 2020 on April 27, 2021. It was received by the IRS on May 4, 2021. We received a notice from the IRS and our completed return dated October, 2021. It was not received in our office until sometime in January 2022. We did not realize that the 990 was required to be e-filed until now. The process then is to find a 3rd party vendor to e-file for us. This took additional time since we had to reenter all details for a second time. Also, the Pandemic has caused delays in receiving notices. As to e-file, we thought this was a volunteer selection and not required process, so as in prior years, we filed manually.
