These performances consist of today's living classical music composers, several performances were conducted and this activity supports the mission of "creating compelling and transformative genre-bending musical experiences to inspire, enrich and connect new and diverse audiences". 199046 Education Outreach Program - In 2020, Nu-Deco provided education performance programs for over 2,000 students in the South Miami-Dade area. This includes tutoring of music lessons, side-by-side coaching and peer-to-peer influence. Several students also had the opportunity to perform with the orchestra. The goal is to influence students in fifth grade and below and encourage them to continue their music and artisctic curiosity as they enter middle school. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 12c Part VII-Section (B), Paragraph 12(a): Nu Deco has a Conflict of Interest (COI) policy each member of the board is issued a copy of this policy. Article III of the COI requires "an interested person must disclose the existence of the financial interest and be given the opportunity to disclose all material facts to the Directors and members of committees with governing board delegated powers considering the proposed transaction or arrangement". Sections 3.2 & 3.3 of Article III of the COI also describes the determination and procedures should a conflict of interest arise. Furthermore, Section 3.4 describes if and when a Board member(s) discover a possible conflict, the Member in question shall be informed and be given the opportunity to disclose the matter and the governing body can determine the outcpome including disciplinary action of the member in question. Comparable data from other music organizations is reviewed by the Executive Board to determine compensation. Part XII, Line 2c The organization has a committee that assumes responsibility for the oversight of the audit and selection of an independent accountant. The oversight and selection process has not changed from the prior year. The organization has decided to change its reporting period from a calendar year basis (1/1 - 12/31) to a fiscal year basis of (7/1 - 6/30). Pursuant to IRS regulations for changes to an organization's accounting period, this return is a "short year" filing reporting the activity from (1/1 - 6/30). The organization's subsequent filing will report the organization's full fiscal year activity from (7/1 - 6/30).
