They are professional member, emeritus member and Student (collegiate/postsecondary). Eligible professional members are individuals with a degree or professionallevel credential in any field of study who support the filed of family and consumer Sciences. Eligible emeritus members are individuals with a degree or professionallevel credential in any field of study who support the field of family and consumer sciences, are retired and at least 60 years Of age. Eligible student members are enrolled as degree or endorsementseeking students in a postsecondary program on a parttime or fulltime basis. Member election for additional members Part VI line 7a Leadership council members provide advice and counsel to the board of directors; elect the board of Directors; and review and approve changes to the bylaws. Governing body decisions Part VI line 7b The AAFCS bylaws are reviewed annually and can be amended by a majority vote of the Board of Directors. Form 990 governing body review Part VI line 11 The draft 990 is reviewed by The Associations executive director & finance staff prior to filing.
