Transportation services: There are two components -- the "Wheels" program, which provides rides to medical and other appointments to non-driving seniors and disabled persons, using volunteer drivers and vehicles; and the "WAVE" program, which uses a small, wheelchair-compatible bus and a (donated) minivan with paid drivers to provide scheduled transportation to Sonora (30 miles) and Modesto (60 miles). The Wheels program serves approximately 200 rides per year for approximately 40 unique persons, and the WAVE program provides approximately 200 multi-rider services per year for approximately 30 unique persons. This is fully reimbursed via a Federal Transportation Agency 5310 grant. 0 93110 The Little House is a converted residence, leased from Tuolumne County, which is a popular community gathering place, offering complimentary Wi-Fi, information about social services available in Tuolumne county, congregate lunches, classes and lectures, health and fitness programs, and special events. Our daily classes include yoga, balance and core exercises for seniors, needlework craft group, line dancing, games, and much more. Approximately 100 persons participate in one or more offerings in the course of a year. 0 20120 Village on The Hill is a membership service for our senior community. Our volunteers provide various helpful services, such as running errands, shopping, light bulb, and smoke alarm maintenance, watering plants, transporting trash, making daily safety phone calls, taking walks around the neighborhood, and providing friendly visits. These services are invaluable in allowing seniors to remain safely in their homes for a longer period of time.
