The focus of our curriculum is knowledge, character-development and leadership in a Christian environment to unleash the potential of each child. RLA is in its 6th year for the 2022-23 school year. We now offer 3 levels of Pre-K/Kindergarten and 1st- 8th grades. In January 2022, we began construction of the 2nd floor so additional grades can be added through high school graduation including trade school programs. This is a much-needed resource to prepare our children and those living in the village, for adulthood and to be leaders. It is vital to our efforts to empower the Haitian people. 206 Students were enrolled for 2021-22 Academic Year in Pre-K thru 7th grade. The 2022-23 Academic Year was cancelled due to gang uprising in Haiti. 81871 0 0 The goal of our medical ministry is to provide proper disease management of conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, heart disease, and maternity/neonatal care that give Haitians the shortest lifespan in the Western Hemisphere. This level of care in rural Haiti will empower the people to remain healthy and pursue culture changing sustainability. Our desire is to offer affordable medical care to all people needing it and to provide loving care to all regardless of financial ability to pay. Your Monthly Partnership or Special Gift, of any amount, will help us in this vital mission outreach in Haiti. In 2020, we opened the Real Love Medical Clinic in Minoterie (Laffiteau). The clinic strives to provide proper disease management and community health initiatives like our Clean Water Ministry, nutrition, maternal and infant health care and so much more. Our modern clinic is staffed with well-trained Haitian doctors and nurses and offers a Lab, Ultrasound and Xray Imaging and a Pharmacy. Access to healthcare is limited throughout all of Haiti, but especially, in rural areas. Through our quarterly mobile clinics we want to provide continuous medical care to the people in our partner villages and the island of La Gonave. We also want to extend our community-health initiatives to these villages through mobile outreach. 4099 patient services were provided thru July 2022, the last reported month. The estimated amount for August & September is 1150 patient services. Patient services include doctor visits, pharmacy, labs, ultrasounds, and medical certificates for employment. The clinic closed in early October 2022 due gang uprising in Haiti. 57244 0 0 Growing up in one of the worlds most impoverished nations presents many challenges to surviving let alone, thriving. Many children are abandoned to the streets of Haiti or live in dire circumstances. We provide a loving home for up to 20 children and young adults in our Orphanage and Transition Programs at our Mountain Campus. Beyond the basic necessities of life, we provide an education, spiritual nurture and life-skills training. The children & young adults are well-fed, cared for and have their physical, emotional and spiritual needs met by a loving staff. They attend school and church and fill their free time with fun, engaging activities at our home. It is our goal to equip them to be servant leaders that will empower a new and vibrant Haiti. Their stories were heart-breaking. Many went days without food and fainted frequently. Compounding the problem, the widows were elderly, blind or disabled and had no way of supporting themselves. A response was needed! Monthly Sponsorship begins at $40 to help provide the basic needs of our widows/widowers and in some cases, their families. However, any amount or special gifts are welcomed! You may follow our ministry on Facebook at Widows Mite Haiti for updates and other ways that you can participate. Each widow is visited in their home, hugged, listened to, encouraged, prayed for and given a promise well be back. We support widows in 3 different villages . Our program provides food to alleviate their physical hunger, fellowship for their loneliness, medical care and hope through Jesus Christ to relieve their sorrow. In addition, we have provided: clothing, shoes, blankets, shelter, Bibles, chickens, goats, sewing machines with fabric, Blessing Bags you name it we have collected and sent it! As our resources grow, we are addressing other needs that our widows have, like housing and access to clean water. We supported up to 40 widows, widowers and elderly individuals in 2022.
