The priorities were securing additional funding for direct care workers and Meals on Wheels, and increasing general fund allocations to eliminate waitlists for state-funded Home & Community Based Care. The organization sent emails to legislators and members about some of these bills, and joined a coalition of organizations that took out an ad in a local paper encouraging legislators to act to address Maine's direct care worker crisis. A total of 10 hours were spent attempting to influence state legislation.
