HOLIDAY PARTY Holiday Party: On December 1, 2022, the organization joined other voluntary bar organizations to host a holiday event that provided significant networking opportunities amongst the Palm Beach County Bar and the Judiciary, as well as promoted diversity and inclusion. PACE HOLIDAY PARTY PACE Holiday Party: On December 16, 2023, this Chapter hosted a luncheon for the PACE School for Girls wherein the chapter served lunch and provided gifts to the girls. This is a project that promotes success for young ladies struggling in the education system and their personal lives and provides a safe environment to complete their grade-school education. BOSS UP SERIES Boss Up Series: The Boss Up Series is a State FAWL award recipient. On 12/03/2023, we hosted Boss Up Your Fitness by conducting a Zumba class taught by one of our members. Also, On March 4, 2023, we hosted a Peloton Ride for the membership. On 03/16/2023, we hosted Boss Up Your Finances at the Main Courthouse with a luncheon presentation by one of our lead sponsors who is a Certified Financial Planner. We also added a component called Boss Up Your Litigation Skills by promoting shadowing and observation of key federal and county civil trials. PART III: LINE 28 Justice Pariente Judicial Reception: On February 16, 2023, we hosted the Justice Pariente Judicial Reception, which is one of our signature events. Four major awards were given out at an evening reception. This annual event celebrates the county, circuit and federal judiciary and magistrates and their efforts at promoting gender equality and the advancement of women both on the bench and in the courtroom. Approximately 200 people were in attendance. This was the 39th annual event. PART 3: LINE 30 Chat with the President: On 03/07/2023, we hosted a luncheon where The Florida Bar President, Gary Lesser, was the keynote speaker. This event focused on the state of The Florida Bar and their initiatives, as well as the status of women rising in the industry and progress made in the last year. PAST PRESIDENT MENTORING Past President Mentoring: This year, the Past Presidents Mentoring Program gathered several times, including but not limited to a Cookie Holiday exchange on December 14th, a Galentines event on February 9th, and a gathering at Drive Shack on May 2nd. The events focused on connecting new attorneys with the chapters Past Presidents and mentoring their growth. LACTATION ROOM Lactation Room: We obtained a $400 grant from State FAWL and used it to underwrite costs to sponsor and open a lactation room on February 10, 2023 at the West County Courthouse in Belle Glade, including a Reception for honored guests. This furthered a state-wide initiative to place a lactation room in all county courthouses. JOURNEY TO GAVEL Journey to the Gavel: On April 12, 2023, the chapter co-hosted this event where panelists discussed their insights into running for a judicial position through election and the Judicial Nominating Committee procedures. This was a joint event with the Palm Beach County Justice Association and the Palm Beach County Sheree Davis Cunningham Black Women Lawyers Association. CLE credit was provided. PART III: LINE 29 Board Certification Boot Camp Luncheon: Hosted 04/13/2023, this luncheon included a panel of both litigation and transactional board certified attorneys and the Chair of the Florida Board Certification Committee to explain the path toward board certification and continue thereafter by matching attendees with mentors to assist in their path toward board certification. CLE credit was provided. TAKE YOUR CHILD TO WORK DAY Take Your Child to Work Day: On 04/27/2023, the Chapters Working Parents Committee hosted an all-day event at the Main Courthouse. The event included presentations by the Palm Beach County Sheriffs Office, Judicial Personnel, and a Mock Trial. This event promotes awareness of the judicial system and all facets for the Courthouse Staff, State Attorneys and Public Defenders offices children. JUDICIAL APPRECIATION BREAKFAST Judicial Appreciation Breakfast: On 05/18/2023, we hosted a breakfast at the Main Courthouse to honor the 15th Circuit Judicial Assistants and Courthouse Deputies. INSTALLATION LUNCHEON Installation Luncheon 5/23/23: This event celebrated the changing of the Board of Directors and Committee Chairs. This was a large luncheon event focused on celebrating the past year accomplishments and setting expectations for the fiscal year ahead.
