The policy applies to the Board of Directors as well as employees of the clinics. The board members that believe an action or issue pending before the board could involve a conflict of interest shall announce the conflict and notify the chairperson of the board. The CEO will formally cite an employee if there is a conflict of interest. A board member that has cause or issue pending shall abstain from discussion, consideration, decisions, and voting on the matter. Employees will have 30 calendar days to dispose of such interest. Failure to comply will be cause for immediate discplinary action.
