The amount of time spent on these activities in 2022 was 35 hours. In addition, Becky serves as a member of the Advocacy Committee for the Ohio Association for Child Care Providers (OACCP) and spoke with state legislators about the need to increase funding to support child care professionals as well as child care accessibility, affordability and quality for families. For example New state budget recommendations for child care provider supports like, higher reimbursement rates for publicly funded child care, grants to support center viability, quality and higher wages for Ohio's child care professionals. The amount of time spent on OACCP activities in 2022 was 125 hours. Becky also serves on the Franklin County Child Care Support Team (FCCCST). The FCCCST provides recommendations for funding from the City and County to support child care professionals and low income families. The amount of time spent on FCCCST activities in 2022 was 20 hours. Becky, along with Bobbi Shannon, also provided testimony to legislators about the need to increase funding for reimbursement rates for high quality centers as well as to increase child care accessibility, affordability and quality for families.The amount of time spent on Becky spent on the testimony and presentation/advocacy work in 2022 was 50 hours.Bobbi Shannon participated in committee work around health initiatives, healthy standards and professional development for Ohio's early childhood participants and professionals. In addition, she serves on a statewide committee focused on "Moving The Needle"- to increase wages for Ohio's child care professionals. Bobbi, along with Becky Ciminillo, also provided testimony to legislators about the need to increase funding for reimbursement rates for high quality centers as well as to increase child care accessibility, affordability and quality for families.
