The Collection spans art, natural history, industrial objects, pottery, memorabilia, textiles, weapons, botany, taxidermy, gems, and minerals, and has been an active collection since 1883. The Museum Foundation staff manage and preserve the collection, and we have a Collections Management Policy as well as American Alliance of Museums accreditation. Part X : FIN48 Footnote The Foundation has adopted the provisions related to accounting for uncertainty in income taxes, which defines a recognition threshold and measurement attribute for the financial statement recognition and measurement of a tax position taken or expected to be taken in a tax return. The Foundation's management has considered its tax positions and believes that all of the positions taken by the Foundation in its federal and state tax returns are more likely than not to be sustained upon examination.
