The grants are not given directly to the families, but instead the Foundation pays essential non-medical living expenses for the families directly via bill pay. The goal of family support is to relieve financial burdens from the family, so they can focus on their child. Financial support provided by the Foundation focuses on back home expenses like mortgage/rent, utilites, auto-insurance, auto-payment and cellphone because often times the parent or parents need to leave their job to be with their child. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 2 Matthew Graves and Melissa Graves have a family relationship. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 8b There are no committees with authority to act on behalf of the governing body. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 11b Upon completion and before filing Form 990 with the IRS, the Foundation will provide an electronic copy of the final Form 990 to the board of directors. Any questions that arise as a result of their review will be discussed with the tax preparer. The form 990 will not be considered complete until all review questions are resolved. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 12c Each director, principal officer and member of a committee with governing board delegated powers shall sign a conflict of interest statement. All conflicts of interest are reviewed by the governing board and all committees with board delegated powers. The organization also conducts periodic reviews to ensure compliance. However, these procedures were not used during this fiscal year because no officers were compensated.
