The school strives to achieve good academics with each grade level and continue to educate the students to grow in the knowledge of God and to love one another. A biblical worldview is emphasized in all teachings. The school currently teaches pre-school and grades K thru 8. Additionally, the school's website states its racially nondiscriminatory policy. In general, communications to the public and material distributed to the public state the school's nondiscriminatory policy. Schedule E, Part I, Line 6 The school receives grants from the State of Arizona related to child care services. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 4 The bylaws of the Board of Directors of the school were amended in May 2022. The amendments had no effect on the exempt purpose of the school but helped the board conduct it's function as the governing body. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b The president of the Board of Directors (a retired CPA) prepares the Form 990. A draft of the Form 990 is provided to each director via email prior to filing the return with IRS. Relevant comments and information from the directors are incorporated in Form 990 prior to filing with the IRS. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12c Annually all directors and the school Administrator sign off in writing on a Conflicts of Interest policy statement confirming they are in compliance with the school's written policy. The school's policy addresses conflicts according to "best practices" of nonprofit organizations. New directors are oriented to understand possible conflict issues, and are required to confirm in writing they have no conflict of interest. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15 The school Administrator is the Chief Executive Officer. The Administrator's performance is evaluated annually by the full Board of Directors. Adjustments to the Administrator's compensation is based on the evaluation, contemporaneous comparable salary levels in the market place (determined annually) and other relevant factors. The full board deliberates the aforementioned information in deciding upon the Administrator's compensation each year. The Administrator performs annual evaluations of all staff. Each staff person's compensation is based on their evaluation, comparable salary levels of the position and other factors. Annually the Administrator submits a budget to the board for approval which includes staff compensation. Form 990, Part VI, Section C, Line 19 If anyone requests financial information about the school, a copy of Form 990 and/or the website for locating the Form 990 is provided. If a request is made for documents mentioned in Line 19, copies of such documents are provided. Form 990, Part IX, Line 24e The amounts entered on this line are for the purpose of reconciling the allocation of functional expenses according to the Review Report provided by the school's CPA. The amounts reported are primarily related to employee compensation and related payroll expenses.
