The draft Form 990 is then presented to the audit committee for review and approval. A final version of Form 990 is presented to the board of directors for review and approval. The staff notifies management of any possible conflicts that arise. Board members with a conflict will abstain from any vote pertaining to their conflict. They also make recommendations about key employees of the organization, which are subject to final review and approval by the CEO.
