With a focus on the inspiring stories of Black activists and advocates around the country, the new mini-documentary and individual interview segments feature advocates and survivors who share their personal stories about why HIV/AIDS continues to disproportionately impact Black communities. The Surviving Voices mini-documentary The Black Community & AIDS won the jury award at the 2022 SF Queer Film Fest. The 35th Anniversary Quilt Display - 2022 marked the 35th anniversary of the founding of the AIDS Memorial Quilt. To mark this milestone, the largest display of the Quilt in San Francisco history took place in June in Golden Gate Park. The display consisted of 3,500 panels of the Quilt over two days and attracted over 30,000 visitors representing a diverse makeup of age, race, gender and socioeconomic standing. In its entirety, the AIDS Memorial Quilt is an epic 54-ton tapestry that includes nearly 50,000 panels dedicated to more than 110,000 individuals. All employees and members of the Board of Directors are expected to use good judgement, to adhere to the highest ethical standards, and to act in such a manner as to avoid any actual or potential conflict of interest. Both the fact and appearance of a conflict of interest should be avoided. i. Upon or before hire election, or appointment each employee and Board member must provide a written disclosure of all direct or indirect financial interests that could potentially result in a conflict of interest. Examples include employer, business and other nonprofit affiliations, and those of family members or a significant other. The written disclosure will be kept on file and will be updated annually as needed. ii. Employees and Board members must disclose any interest in a proposed transaction or decision that may create a conflict of interest.
