Conversations centered on how best to train and equip men and women within the organizations as well as the cost to implement the program within the organization. LEI furthered its partnership with Watoto Christian Hall and piloted a program with the Pacific Church of Irvine. The Watoto Christian Hall partnership centers around equipping men and women to become mentors for students. The Organization also began piloting a Leadership Development Program with a church in Irvine, CA that served 20 people made up of church staff and lay leaders. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 5: Speaking & Training:-------------------Throughout the year, LEI staff and volunteers took the opportunity to speak on vision, leadership and mentoring to over 1200 people at various locations across the country. Form 990, Part VI, Line 12c: Explanation of Monitoring and Enforcement of Conflicts The Organizations conflict of interest policy requires all members of the governing body to affirm, in a signed statement on an annual basis, his or her commitment to the following standards:1. At all times the members activities with the Organization will be conducted in such a manner so as not advance or protect personal interests or those of related parties; nor will such activities serve to the detriment of the Organization or its mission.2. At all times the conduct of activities where the Organization is represented will be undertaken in a manner that best promotes the interest of the Organization.3. At any time that the governing body will vote upon an issue that could favorably impact the members financial interest or those of related parties, the member will disclose the relationship, will not participate in discussion of the issue, and will abstain from voting on the matter.4. At any time a conflict of interest or the potential of such arises, the member will disclose the matter to the President or to the Chairman.
