A committee of three board members from SKF reviews the request and can approve requests for less than $3,000 if at least two of the three members vote affirmatively. For requests greater than $3,000, the entire board is included in the approval process. In most cases, the request is fulfilled by payment directly to the specific vendor such as utility, landlord, mortgage company, etc. If the family has already paid the invoice, the family is reimbursed for the expense(s) by the organization.
