To bring together several local organizations engaged in reducing noise in the region to build a base and impart information on the harms to the people, environment and economy of military jet operations over civilian and fragile environmental areas. To work with our legislators to require the Navy to monitor jet noise and to seek other locations to locate these military assets. SDA Road Map program - We continued to develop and refine our proposed EA18-G "Growler" drawdown and replacement plan ("The SDA Roadmap"). This plan presents the US Navy with a reasonable and achievable means of permanently solving the worst of military jet noise in NW Washington's civilian populated areas and the Olympic National Forest, thereby helping the public in general while also providing alternative uses for the Navy's base on Whidbey Island, WA. 0 27630 SDA Educational program - In 2023 we continued, despite the lingering difficulties of COVID-19, to hold public (Zoom) meetings, send out bi-monthly newsletters, post on Facebook & Instagram, and to help regional groups organize to understand the severity of military jet noise and environmental pollution in NW Washington State. We created a podcast series which was run during the year. We also were instrumental in initiating a Population Health Initiative Project in conjunction with the University of Washington in 2023. 0 46787 In 2023 we partnered with another charitable organization to engage a well regarded polling service to poll citizens in areas where the noise from the Growlers is pervasive.
