Platinum members are companies that make significant strategic commitments to the foundation in funding and other resources. Platinum members have a high level of involvement in OpenStack strategy and resources. Each platinum member appoints an individual to the OpenStack board of directors. Platinum Member Requirements: (1) Corporate strategy is aligned with OpenStacks mission. (2) Provides $350,000 per year in funding to OpenStack. B. Gold members are companies that provide funding and other resources, but at a lower level than Platinum members. Gold members as a class elect individuals to tbe OpenStack board. Gold Member Requirements: (1) Corporate strategy is aligned with OpenStacks mission. (2) Provides funding between $50,000 and $150,000 per year. C. Individual members can join for free and participate on their own or as part of their paid employment. These members have a right to run for and vote for a number of leadership positions.
