While these funds help a bit they did not cover any veterinary bills nor did they make up for the trauma these pet owners endured. Through media outreach we helped educate those chossing to buy from a for-profit pet store of the risks associated with the transactions namely that certain for-profit pet stores may put profits ahead of the health and welfare of the mother and her pups. We connected people having to surender their pets to reputable rescue groups and shelters.
