The Association is not aware of any activities that would jeopardize its tax-exempt status and is not aware of any activities that are subject to tax on unrelated business income. As of August 31, 2024, the Association believes that it has appropriate support for any tax positions taken, and as such, does not have any uncertain tax positions that are material to the financial statements. With few exceptions, Federal information returns filed prior to 2021 for the Association are no longer subject to examination by tax authorities. Associate membership may be applied for by Associations with 12 or fewer soccer teams. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b The Executive Director and Treasurer reviews the 990 prior to filing by doing the following: reviewing the yes/no answers given on the 990 form for accuracy, cross referencing the financial numbers to the financial statements, and corroborating other information given on the form based on first-hand knowledge of the organization. On an annual basis major business relationships are reviewed for any possible conflict of interest transactions.
