These educational PSAs, videos, and resources have been instrumental when working with various stakeholder groups, ranging from fourth graders to adult amateur athletes to national and international governing bodies of sport. Our team uses this foundational content to build individualized educational modules for specific sports and organizations. 39950 WeRideTogether launched its All Sports, One Goal initiative in 2023, meaning that our focus as an organization expanded to include 56 unique sports. We continued to build upon our equestrian foundation, working closely with 7 equestrian organizations and formalizing 2 partnerships with student-focused equestrian organizations (IEA and IHSA). We also formalized a partnership with USRowing, becoming the organization's official safeguarding partner. Throughout 2023, our team added 4 survivor stories (2 sports are now represented - equestrian and gymnastics) to our library. News articles chronicling misconduct in sport and unhealthy coach-athlete dynamics are found on a near-daily basis. Sexual abuse in sport has been occurring for decades, and the public is now becoming aware of these hidden situations as more and more survivors bravely disclose and report misconduct they have experienced. Efforts must still be made to improve the efficacy of the justice system, to increase resources for survivors healing from trauma, to reduce victim and parent shaming and blaming, and to decrease stigma. WeRideTogether is committed to increasing awareness and continually updates this compiled list of current events on the topic of sexual abuse in sport. Sexual misconduct is happening across all sports, at all levels, internationally. Our team created the Current Events section of our library in 2023, adding over 200 articles to our website, which we used to inform athletic communities about ongoing issues within all sports. The WeRideTogether Blog is a reliable repository of written resources, providing easily accessible, straightforward, conversational knowledge. Our blog's content represents the voices of counselors, prosecutorial law enforcement professionals, attorneys, SafeSport investigators, public health professionals, child protection specialists, victim advocates, parents, survivors, and other qualified experts. Article topics include reporting, healing from trauma, education and awareness on sexual misconduct, sport-specific content, and more, all in the areas that survivors and their loved ones need information on the most. Over 2023, our team added 25 blog posts to our library. In 2023, WeRideTogether established our Team Rep program. A WeRideTogether Team Rep brings our message and materials to their team or organization. As a liaison and spokesperson, Team Reps share WeRideTogether's mission and vision, promoting education and awareness for healthy sport. We empower our Team Reps to be leaders within their teams or organizations, spreading and standardizing best practices that help keep sport safe and healthy for all. As a Team Rep, WeRideTogether provides teams or organizations with complimentary educational material and promotional items.
