The programs are currently being implemented in Benin, West Africa. Capacity-Building Program for Community Organizations: Designed for nonprofit local leaders and the beneficiaries of their organizations. Has benefited a few hundreds of people during the year. Expected to benefit much more in the future and adequate materials have been prepared to that effect. 0 5649 Capacity Building Program for Villages Authorities: Designed for local leaders in rural communities. Dozens of village chiefs and advisors participated in the program. In the past, we sent a few letters to the IRS to explain the situations (loss of data, unexpected workers turn over in the office in Benin, tragedy in family of the President). In addition, COVID-19 was a real challenge to us. Due to all the challenges, we lost our tax-exempt status, but were able to get it back thanks to the understanding of the IRS staff. While giving back to communities is laudable, it has been quite difficult for us to keep going. However, we are still hanging on our willingness to help the poor, who desperately need assistance in Africa. We some new staff on board, we plan to submit the return for 2022 and 2023 soon. We beg the IRS to consider not imposing penalty on us, because at the moment, we don't even have sufficient funds to help people who are in dire need for support.
