At the membership meeting, the members elect the Board of Trustees. The Board of Trustees nominates and elects the officers of the organization. Member election for additional members Part VI line 7a The Abilene Preservation League membership elects the Board of Trustees. The Board elects the officers of the organization from within its ranks. Form 990 governing body review Part VI line 11 The Form 990 is generally presented to the Board of Trustees meeting as part of the current treasurers report. Conflict of interest policy compliance Part VI line 12c In the annual board orientation sessions, new trustees are provided with notebooks containing the Organizations bylaws and policies. The staff investigates possible conflict of interest situations and brings them to the Board for discussion and resolution. CEO executive director top management comp Part VI line 15a The compensation of the Executive Director is recommended, discussed and voted on by the Board of Trustees. The Executive Director generally sets the compensation of other employees. All compensation is reviewed in the regular financial reports to the Board. The Organziation does not currently have a compensated executive director. The other employees are part-time and paid hourly. Governing documents etc available to public Part VI line 19 The Abilene Preservation League makes its governing documents, bylaws and financial statements available to all members and provides them to other organizations when requesting grants. They are made available to the public upon written request.
